answers: Create Your Own Water Cycle

What you should have seen:

You should have observed water droplets forming on the spoon. They should have got larger and larger until they finally dropped back into the liquid in the mug.

So what was happening?

Evaporation of the water from the hot liquid, then condensation on the surface of the spoon and finally precipitation back down into the mug.
